The purpose of this blog is intentionally broad for a couple reasons: firstly, I just have a wide range of interests and consider myself to be a multidisciplinarian of sorts. My interests range and may change in flavor from day to day or even hour to hour. And not only that, but they more often than not intermingle, intersect and even coalesce together into one (and ultimately, all of them will, and do).
Many of these broad interests include:
- social justice and peace
- a restored and renewed creation
- humanity's origins and its future
- redemption of culture
- archetypes
- political implications of the kingdom of Yahweh (a la NT Wright and Tolstoy)
- Jesus Christ's birth, life, death and resurrection (especially as encompassing reality itself)
- the ramifications of atonement for humankind as a whole
- quantum physics (and implications for spiritual reality)
- cosmology
- Omega Point Theory (and implications for eschatology)
- divine council theology and trinitarianism (a la Michael Heiser)
- the high calling of the Bride of Christ
- general philosophical meanderings
- MacDonald-esque mythology/fantasy
- Christian mystics in the traditional vein of Madame Guyon
- being moving temples of the Holy of Holies
- transcendent music, poetry and literature
As you can see, anything and everything is fair game, since all creation is in Christ, and all will clearly express and reveal His nature, through oneness with His heart, at the end of days.
Many of these interests have sprouted from general curious ponderings I would have as a child cracking open encyclopedias or just laying on my back on the picnic table in the backyard out in the boonies where there was nothing but me and nature and time.
But most of all, the purpose of this blog is to lift up the romantic hero of the ages and invisible avatar of the Father of all, Jesus Christ, to whom all will be submitted, for whom all was created, and in whom all will be restored and glorified in consummate perfection and.unity with the divine who is before, and in, and through all. Amen, and amen.
Since I can tend to ramble, and paradoxically procrastinate what I will thus anticipate to be long-winded diatribes, I will try to keep each entry short and to the point to become both more digestible, and output more content.
Here's to a successful blogging career (after such a long hiatus from the first post!) Hope you enjoy.
